Casa de Campo Resort & Villas, celebrated as one of GOLF Magazine’s “Top 100 Golf Resorts in the World” and a premier luxury destination in the Caribbean, has announced a new daily direct flight connecting Miami International Airport to La Romana Airport. Operated by American Airlines, the service will commence on Thursday, December 5, 2024, further enhancing accessibility to this iconic resort.
Following the celebration of its 50th anniversary, Casa de Campo is embracing a new chapter by making travel more convenient for visitors. The Dominican Republic, experiencing a surge in post-pandemic tourism, continues to position itself as a preferred getaway destination.
This new route adds to the growing list of direct flights to La Romana. Canadian travelers already benefit from Sunwing’s existing service from Toronto, with additional non-stop flights from Montreal launching on November 30, 2024.
Casa de Campo’s enhanced connectivity underscores its commitment to seamless travel experiences, inviting more global travelers to enjoy its world-class golf courses, luxurious accommodations, and breathtaking coastal beauty.
“This new direct flight from Miami is essential to creating the desired level of ease to travel to our beloved resort,” says Jason Kycek, chief marketing officer of Casa de Campo Resort & Villas. “Casa de Campo has always been convenient to travelers in North America, but the success of this new flight will hopefully encourage more airlines to come directly to us and make it one of the most accessible 5-star resorts in the world.”
Casa de Campo boasts three world-renowned Pete Dye-designed golf courses: Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore, and The Links. Opened in 1971, Teeth of the Dog is celebrated as the top-ranked course in the Caribbean. Starting January 2025, this iconic course will undergo a comprehensive restoration led by Jerry Pate Design. The project includes regrassing, restoring greens to their original dimensions, and reshaping bunkers to preserve Dye’s original vision. The course is scheduled to reopen in December 2025.
For those seeking the ultimate in luxury, the newly introduced Premier Club accommodations redefine exclusivity and comfort. Designed for discerning guests, the Premier Suites offer personalized service from arrival, with a dedicated concierge escorting guests to their private suites. The Premier Club also features an exclusive bar and lounge where guests can enjoy premier beverages and handcrafted canapés prepared by an executive chef, creating an atmosphere of refined elegance and Caribbean warmth.
Casa de Campo also offers a variety of fully equipped villas, ideal for families and golf groups. These villas, ranging from three to 11 bedrooms, feature stylish living spaces, private pools, and modern comforts. Options include Garden Villas surrounded by lush greenery or Oceanfront Villas offering breathtaking views of the Caribbean. Each villa stay includes daily breakfast, private maid service, and access to a host of on-site activities, ensuring a truly luxurious experience.
Adding to the resort’s appeal is The Spa at Casa de Campo, which has become a premier wellness destination in the Dominican Republic. Spanning over 18,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor spaces, the spa combines top-tier wellness treatments, innovative technology, and tranquil surroundings for an unparalleled rejuvenation experience.
